Am I crazy to want to live in a rv? |
We have gotten to a point where our cars are paid for, and we have some extra cash so I told my wife I wanted to buy a travel trailer or 5th wheel to live in and travel for a couple of years. No your not crazy just adventurous. Why would you be crazy? You would be able to go on LONG road trips and not worry if your house got broken into. no i dont think your crazy, if you like to travel and visit new places, then you're adventurous. I think its a nice idea but in reality you might get tired of living in the RV after a few weeks. Your wife wants you to hang on to your job because it is security and an income for now. What are you going to do for money? What if someone gets sick? What about weather conditions, crime etc. Does your daughter want to move away from her friends to live in a trailer? I think you should stick it out, buy a home then follow the dream so you have somewhere to go back to if you all decide you dont like the RV living. I'm younger than you but I think you are not crazy at all to want to live in a RV. Most people live/travel in one when they are able to, after they've paid off their debts which you already have, at an old age. The only possible 'problem' I see could be for your 9 year old to be traveling around. This will not allow her to form lasting friendships and whereas you have your wife, she might feel alone not having anyone her age to be with. Other than that, I think it would be great. I don't know if you can afford to not work though and travel around in one for a few years, as can older people who have retired with money can. You want to be free to live on the road like some sort of modern day wonderer or jypsy. You want to have no one tell you where to go or what to do and not have to worry about anything but what is your own. Really man it is every guy's dream. sometimes you have to think about what is best for not only you but for your familt too... i mean sometimes the reason someone want to stay where they're at is because they a scared, worried, or are just plain out satisfied with life and want to live life as it is. other times its because they are hiding something that is of value and importants to them. also, if you really want to do this, think about what it would do to your daughter. i was homeschooled for the longest time and lost all traces of any social life. im a freshman now, and being homeschooled made it really hard for me to make new friends and to be open. im not saying that its a good or bad idea, i just think that you should weigh your options and get everyone elses oppinion first. and just remember that its always better to play it safe and stay were you are than too go above and beyond what you can handle! GOOD LUCK!!! |
