What countries are good to travel too?

I'm planning on going backpacking around the world.
So I was wondering which countries are the best to travel for good value -- meaning cheapness, as I'm a bit of a scrooge with money :)
Also which countries are expensive? Or should avoid on my travels.

I'd suggest you to visit Slovenia, it is actually a place most people don't know much about although they already use the euros! There are lots of backpack areas and routes in the north of the country, great mountains and historical places to visit (Bled castle for example), and at the same time there are also beaches and warm weather by the Adriatic coastline in the southern Slovenia! People there are very friendly and speak English, the country is very cheap, places are not too crowded by tourists etc.

South Africa is pretty cheap. Last time i went.

Europe. Go To Youth Hostels. I Had A Friend That Traveled 13 Countries In About 13 Days Once.

Australia!!!
Also Asia is pretty cheap - Thailand, Bali
