What makes a country a 'kingdom'? does it have to have a queen or king? Yes, it must have a king or queen. i guess it must have a king, most probably as the most powerful person in the country.. Yes. It is a monarchial territory ruled by a king or queen. If you say "United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland", you are referring to the territory ruled by Queen Elizabeth II (Highest authority in the territory). Suppose so. You also get an earldom and a dukedom whilst an emperor rules an empire and a dictator rules a dictatorship |
