Has anyone ever gone on a vacation by themselves?

Yes, I do that all the time. Whether it be a three day weekend at a resort, or a week in another city visiting museums. I'd rather meet people at my destinations. So much cheaper and easier. I gave up on the stress that can come from being responsible for someone elses entertainment. Especially with a female. Often, vacation to me means exploring history and culture. For many women, vacation means shopping.

I haven't gone on a vacation by myself, but am planning to backpack Europe by myself. I know some people there I'll meet up with, and this way I won't have to follow any particular agenda, just do my own thing and relax. Also might depend a little on where you are going. If the culture difference is great, it might help to have someone to go with.

Yes, I went on a 10 day trip to Greece in October. I had a great time, met great people, did what I wanted to and when I wanted to! Will definitely do it again!
