Do you believe in "GLOBAL WARMING" after all that snow that came down on Athens and other parts of Greece?

Yes, I do! Snow once a year doesn't mean Global warming has stopped... In fact this snowfall was the only event that reminded us the presence of winter, as until know, the temperatures were almost equivalent to autumn ones. The average temperature in the world is going up, and he have to do something about it! M.C. is absolutely right, in Greece we pollute much and we don't do anything for this alarming phenomenon. We have to persuade more people global warming is true, because if we reach the edge of destruction, it'll be too late to take action.

EDIT: If you visit the environment section, you'll find many similar questions! I am quoting some important bits of answers I found there:"Overall global warming can produce cooling in specific areas."
"Global warming shifts the weather patterns. Some places are colder, some are hotter. Some have more moisture, some have less.
"Snow flakes are larger when the temperature is just below freezing, so warmer air might mean more snow. In addition, warmer air picks up more moisture, and that can cause more snow."
"Global warming is to be blamed for increased warmth AND increased cold, more AND less snow, more AND fewer hurricanes, floods AND droughts!"
"it's the weather patterns that are changed due to global warming bringing about many changes - including in some area at some times even wetter, colder weather due to higher moisture content from glacial melting, faster evaporation rates in some areas,etc......"

I believe in EXTREME weather temperatures and phenomena due to Global warming!

We had a big record breaking snowfall back in January of 2002. So freak weather happens.I don't believe Global Warming caused this, but I do believe in the warmth you get when two bodies rub together. Maybe you can come over and we can warm each other up?

yes hun. 100%

Absolutely, Miss Cutie, it is a very urgent problem, and the Greek people are doing very little to help. I am extremely concerned. We live in a island, and it also snowed here.

that is the effect of global warming actually - no snow or winter in countries where normally it used to snow a lot and snow in countries like Greece or Spain...

yeah, absolutely! that's global warming- snow and more rain in countries where it used to be hot and very hot weather in countries where it use to be cold!

I live in northern europe and we usually got 80 days a year covered by snow, the average temperature in winter was about 12C below zero, summers were mild or warm but not scorching hot.. now like three years we have gotten NO SNOW at all which is more than just weird, we got summers as hot as in southern Spain and in winter the temperature rarely drops below 0!!
So how could I not believe in all that seeing this all my own eyes!

You know, global warming is not a religion. It's a fact. However, that snow isn't at all related to global warming.
But nowadays every time bad weather occurs people think global warming is the culprit. As if bad weather didn't exist in older times.

That's a big 10-4, Cutie. Cold weather is just another side effect from global warming. It is snowing, in parts of the world, that seldom get any at all. Peace!
