How can I come up with the money for a trip to Greece?

I want to go on this trip so badly. It is 13 days and about $3,300. The fees are due 40 days from now and I'm not having my mom pay for any of it because she is paying for enough this summer. I was thinking I could get grandparents and such to help fill in until I can pay them off and show them I am serious about it by geting a job. The only thing is that I don't know how great a job would work for me this summer since I am going to be gone for half of it. Not going on this trip just isn't an option for me. Keep that in mind.

I was thinking I could have various car washes and bake sales and maybe sell some of my photography. Any other ideas would be much appreciated.

i had exactly your same problem last summer.
i babysit, did garage sales, sold things on ebay, and collected bottles from my neighbors and ended up raising just enough money in time to go.

as far as getting a job for half the summer goes, its not IMPOSSIBLE! if you are really serious about going theres always a job, you just gotta look!

i would try to start a smaller job like baby sitting if you can,or try to work at a store or try your way and do the car wash,and bake sale ,whatever happens good luck..

defintely try babysitting and tutoring but to tell u the truth.... for 13 days...3,300 is a RIP OFF cus i go to greece for two whole months sometimes 3 for only 1, 500....thats like half the money....what airline are you flying with??

hmm. tough call. You could try winning the lottery using the few bucks you earned from the bake sale.

Your pictures may get you more money...so I would not give anyone discounts on those.

Car washes are good, but the problem is you have to set it up in your drive way and supply the washing equipment. But your only overhead or expense is the water bill, and the cost of the swimsuit you wear.

Don't rent out from the local carwash guys, since they take a big bite out of your profit.

Also since you have family, use them as cheap "free" labor and have them hold signs advertising the BAKE SALE or the CAR WASH.

i dont know why it is so much. i live in greece and i dont know why you would need so much money.. Well it depends on when you are leaving and how much time you have to make money. What part of greece and what season are you planning to go?with that much money you could stay more than a month here, again i say it depends on what part of greece you are going.. If you want i can tell you more about greece and give you a different view of where to go here..

Greece is a great place to go. I suggest you get a job but all i have to say is if you have an opportunity to go to Greece take it beautiful place. Good luck with your situation.
