What do you think about the country Greece?

Minkus,thank you about your opinion,but have you been to an island in Greece yet?
Grece isn't all about Athens.

Greece is beautiful, hot, sunny and friendly, also very relaxing to holiday there.

I went to Rhodes a few years back and stayed at Pefkos near Lindos.

Lindos is a stunning little typical greek hillside town with little whitewashed buildings and a maze of streets above great beaches and with a stunning acropolis above the town. Dozens of lovely shops and bars only accessible by foot.

Rhodes Town is worth a visit too with great shopping and history.
People are helpful and friendly.

I will return sometime, for sure.

It is very old, with a lot of interesting archaeological places to visit. I would love to go there and see all of it.

Im half greek.Ive got a dad Ive never met who comes from there.Beutifull place,Coming there some day.

You will read a lot of reasons & opinions, but then again, the main reason is you putting up this question..

either you are convinced Greece is lovable .. or you fail to see reasons why is so beautiful ..

No number of words is important for me to describe.. so many trips yearly since 1986

what I have seen and the memories I keep, are less important compared to the day by day impressions with Greek people I have encountered all of these years...

It will always draw you back for more.

your right Athens isn't the only thing in Greece to see
Greece is amazing I love it the weather the ocean everything is gorgeous. The ocean is great in any part you go. In the noth of Greece the ocean is a pretty greenish color and in the south its a pretty light blue color
Crete is the best island in Greece and my favorite

BOTH MY PARENTS WERE BORN IN KALYMNOS, GREECE ONE OF THE ISLANDS IN THE DODECANESE AND IT IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING...IM THERE EVERY SUMMER... IM SO DEPRESSED WHEN I DONT GO.....ITS SOO DIFFERENT FROM HERE.....THERES SOOOOO MANY BEACHES WITH THE CLEAREST WATER AND EVERYONES MORE LAIDBACK. THERES ARCHAEOLOGICAL PLACES TO VISIT WHICH ARE GORGEOUS...AND THERES AAMMMAAAZZZZINNNNG NIGHTLIFE......MY DAY IN GREECE WOULD BEGIN LIKE THIS......I WULD WAKE UP CATCH SOME BREAKFAST....GO TO THE BEACH TILL THE AFTERNOON I WULD EAT AT THE BAR THEY HAD THERE I WULD EAT LIKE A SANDWICH...AND THEN I WULD GO HOME.....I WULD TAKE A SHOWER GET READY AND THEN I WULD GO OUT TO THE "PLATEIA" WHERE WE WULD HAVE COFFEE AND CHILL...THEN WE WULD GO OUT TO EAT[ UR DEFINITELY GONNA GAIN WEIGHT IN GREECE THO LOL] THEEEN WE WOULD EITHER GO TO A CLUB OR BOUZOUKIA WHERE THERES DANCING AND WE WULD COME HOME AT 7 IN THE MORNING SLEEP TILL 12 AND THEN THE DAY STARTS ALL OVER. WE USUALLY SLEEP ON THE BEACH THO LOL=]]]]]] ARE U GOIN THIS SUMMER?

I've read about it, & seen a lot of photos. Sounds like a wonderful country with a rich & proud history. The photos are just mind blowingly spectacular. Alas I haven't been there... yet.
