Berlin or Bonn airport nearest to Hannover?

Would like to visit Hamln/Hamlin near Hannover but can only fly to either Berlin or Bonn. Which one would be the best and what distance is it to Hamlin? We will have a hire car. Thanks

Hi there from D眉sseldorf, Germany

Answer 1 is nonsense, just forget it. Under no circumstances take Bonn, the Autobahn to Hameln is terrible, you would have to take different ones with lots of traffic-jams. Berlin is much more comfortable, you just take Autobahn A2 directly from Berlin to Hannover, approxm. 250 kilometres. The Autobahn is just renewed and mostly you can drive as fast as you want, means: It will take about 2 1/2 hours from Berlin to Hannover.

If you'd like to rent a good but cheap car, do not take Hertz or any other big company, in Berlin you find lot's of "Robben & Wirtjes"-stations, good cars and really cheap. You pay with a regular credit card.

Have fun

Berlin Sch枚nefeld Airport is more near to Hannover.

Hi,

my routeplanner tells me that you need 3 1/2 hour from Berlin to Hameln (Hamlin) and only 3 hours from cologne/bonn to Hameln(Hamlin)

check yourself at www.de.map24.com (an english version exists) or www.map24.de

I麓ve never driven the way from berlin to hameln before, therefore i cannot tell you how comfortable it is, but i often drive from cologne to a city close to Hameln, it is a relaxing route. Avoid to drove through cologne if possible.

Have fun!
