Looking for place to live in Hamburg Germany?

Hi, I am moving to Hamburg in Germany early Jan for three months and I am looking for an apartment to rent.

I will be interning in the south-west of the city at the UN Tribunal for the Sea. I have never been to Hamburg, so I don't know where I should be looking for a place to live.

I would like to live in a busy area, preferably near an indoor swimming complex, with good transport etc. Any suggestions of good areas to live in would be fantastic, as I am a bit lost.xx

We have a good infrastructure in Hamburg, so it is no problem, to get all you desire. In at least 40 min you are from the extrem south-east to the extrem north-west. Look in Google maps:
"Hamburg Am Internationalen Seegerichtshof"
Then you will find the location of the UN Tribunal for the Sea.
You can live anywhere in the City north of the river Elbe. The zone "UN Tribunal for the Sea" is just not the cheapest in Hamburg. I must mention, we hamburgians like understatement. "Not the cheapest" means extreme high.

Here is a map of public swimming complexes. The red points are indoor the red circles not.

I have found the following for you:
http://www.kannstein.de/
But I don't know them!!! No guarantee that they are good.

Possibly it will be difficult to get a flat in Hamburg for 3 month, for Hamburg is boomtown in Germany.
If you want look your self.
For searching the internet
http://yahoo.de
for Germany Yahoo always gives better results than google.
If you want a place with furniture
xxx = Zimmer (room), Apartment, Wohnung (apartment, flat)
look for "m枚bliert xxx"
else look for "xxx"
Last tip you should eat "Gruenkohl mit Kassler und R枚stkartoffeln", and "Schinken mit Schwarzbrot"
Greetings from Hamburg, Germany
Heinz
