Is flying realy safe? |
I am a new flier flying from Detroit to Tampa in a few weeks. What are the chances of any airplane having mechanical problems and failing when in the air? You know mechanical problems happen but they are rare. They check the plant thoroughly before take off, and if there is a problem they fix it. This has happened to me multiple times and I always arrive at my destination safely. The odds of crashing are slim to none. In fact, one is more likely to get into a car crash than an airplane crash. There honestly is nothing to be worried about, just bring gum or something to chew on when your ears pop from the altitude but its quite enjoyable and the views can be spectacular. Enjoy the Trip! Yes safer them on the road Very poor. ive flown in a plane 18 times .... nothing will happen ... the chance of a crash is maybe 1%... I do not know the exact statistic.. try looking it up online. But I know that flying is safer than driving. there are hundred of car accidnts everyday and how many plane crashes? yea.... dont worry! You'll be fine :o) rare! Flying is PROVEN to be the safest form of travel. NOTHING in life is safe, right now you could die in a large number of ways, your computer can electrocute you, you can choke on your lunch, your brain can get an anneuryism, what will be will be, just relax. Statistically flying is much safer than driving. Every day there are millions of flights and all go well. Just remember that fact and you will be fine. If you want to know exactly how many flights a day, there are sights that show the traffic control so check them out. Have a fun trip my mom flys she says it is safer cuz there is really nothing to hit or run into but if you crash your probably going to die i dont think it is safe but i dont know it all depends on the flyier You have a better chance of dying driving to the airport than flying to your destination. I fly all the time and its safer than driving. you have a better chance of dying in a car crash than dying while on a plane It's safer than being a passenger in a car, statistically. There is less chance of crashing in a plane Even a Volvo is only as safe as the person driving it. Flying is very, very safe and very, very few planes crash. Pittsburg airport has 290 non stop flights per day to 31 destinations. How many airports are there, doing the same thing every day? The crashes are the only ones we hear about. If every safe landing were reported, there wouldn't be any time for any other news. Nothing and nowhere in this life is 100% safe, but air tavel is pretty close. Its really cool too,if you sit by the window. Relax..enjoy the flight...you'll be there in 2 hours 15 min...better than 24 hours in a car. While being 30,000 feet in the air is not a naturally tenable position for a human being, a commercial airliner is one of the safest places you can be in the world - certainly safer than a car, or even your own bed. I am a flight attendant so as part of my job I need to know a lot about how the aircraft works, flight safety statistics, etc. I can assure you that flying is the safest form of travel! Have a great trip and stop worrying!! ;) |
