How best to handle a tras-ocean flight?

if you have never did it be for-any help?

Sweetheart, get a pill from a doctor....especially motion sickness pill and something to make you calm.

I believe they do have it...I love you and are anxiously waiting for your arrival...

relax, enjoy your ipod and get to know the people you are sitting next to, or you can get a couple drinks and fall asleep

If I ever had to fly across the ocean (again), I am going to go to the doctor and see if I can get a Xanax. I'd suggest you do the same, it would help with the jitters and it also might help you sleep on the plane.

I've done this many times and the biggest problem is the fatigue and the difficulty adapting to the new time zone when you arrive at your destination. I don't get nervous while flying so I'm not writing about that.

1) Don't drink any alcohol or caffeine. It won't make the flight so bad, but it will make it very hard for you to get over the time change.
2) Drink as much water as you can on the flight. You can also drink juices or non-caffeinated drinks.
3) Bring some nutricious snacks, and something to keep you entertained for a while (a book, magazine, game).
4) Get up and walk around frequently to stretch your legs and arms.
5) Try to get some sleep on the plane if at all possible. I have a very hard time doing this, but if you can do it, it will really be good for you.
6) Plan to stay awake at your destination until evening, so you can adapt to the new time.
7) Don't plan too much for the day after you arrive.

Some flights have movies and that is really good to make the time pass more quickly. The last two flights I took the movie system wasn't working and it seemed like the flights were much longer.

Have fun!
