Is Hobart, Tasmania an expensive city?

I am planning to move to Hobart, Tasmania. I am worried, I might feel boring after somedays. Do someof you have any experience of living in Hobart?

Hobart is great. Its small, and cheaper than anywhere else in Australia to live. The county is only half an hour away from the city, its so easy to get places and if you like an easy going life, Hobart is deffinatly the way to go! The beaches are beautiful and no matter where you live in hobart your near a beach.

It's certainly NOT expensive, and as long as you know what's there, there are plenty of things to do. Though probably more a little out of Hobart. (Which by bus is under ten minutes)

Hobart is the cheapest city in Australia to live, its also the coldest and in terms of being bored, compared to other cities there is not much to do

Hobart has the highest unemployment rate.

Do you have a job?

No, none of Tassie is expensive.

i have lived in tas and now qld but i do go home and i can tell you except for housing it,s very expensive to live there, food, fuel, alcohol, clothes but it,s a beautiful state and i do want to retire there.
