Has anybody gone jet boating down the Huon River in Tasmania?

I'm hoping to go jet boating down the Huon River around October this year. Has anybody else done it? Any advice? Opinions? Is it hard to book to do it? Is it something that would be easily done for somebody with mobility problems? (I'm taking my mother along). Is it really jarring on the joints?

Ive been on the Huon Jet Boats and it was a great experience. It does go pretty fast, and you get thrown around on the seat a bit when they do the big turns so it may not be apropriate for your mother, not really jarring on the joints but you do slide quite a bit. As for booking, i turned up without a booking and got straight on and that was January in high season so no worries there.

well for your mother there is a guided nature walk called tahune airwalk which all above the forest as for the jet boating well i know of it and have been told it's really good but i thing it would be a bit full on for your mouther as it's rough and vewry wet. www.forestrytas.com.au/visiting/visitor-...
