What are some adventure activities I can do in Tasmania?

I'm really into adventure activities and giving anything a go, and I'm heading to Tas very soon.
What will the weather be like?

I was in Tasmania for a visit a few months ago and my family and I went to Port Arthur, which was pretty amazing, if you chose to go there you should definately stick around and take the ghost tour. There were also some really nice hiking and bushwalking areas with some really beautiful scenery to look at.

We also took the Gordon River Cruise and drove around alot. We found all of the people to be really friendly and willing to have a chat, and it can be interesting to stop by the smaller and less populated areas. Alot of the locals have their own ghost stories to tell as well if you chose to ask them. If you happen to find yourself around Richmond, you could even check out the old jail.

I just returned from Tasmania and it was hot and sunny mostly.

Visit the Tasmanian Travel Centre to get the latest info on these possible activities....
Head to the Gordon River to bungee jump from the dam wall.
White water rafting from several rivers.
Jet Boat rides, boat cruises, snorkeling, Penny Royal World,
Glow worm caves, horse riding, canoeing, ++walking trails (including Cradle Mountain and Lake St Clair), fishing, para-sailing, heritage walks, ghost spotting at Port Arthur, artists and artisans, wineries, surfing, wonderfully fresh foods, beach walks, light aircraft flights, hang-gliding, picnics, cafes, golf, native animals, Bed and Breakfast accommodation....and that's probably just the tip of the iceberg!

The walk to Cradle Mountain is one of the greatest adventures you can do - but be warned, you need to be fit. See http://www.overlandtrack.com.au/.

The weather is hot at the moment - see www.bom.gov.au for averages in the month you are going.

There are heaps of things to do. We went to the Basin in Launceston today. It was lovely.

This website should help with your adventure holiday.

The Weather is AWESOME!! Bring your sun screen. It has been lovely. I would love some rain though. My tank is getting low. :)

I am in Launceston, but from Hobart. There are heaps of things for visitors to do. Tassie's economy is built on the Tourism industry.
Plus people are happy to give you advice or help. We are a pretty friendly bunch!! :D

PS Go on the Jet boats!! They are so cool!! I haven't been for ages!! :D

there are many activities here such as bushwalking, mountain climbing ect and many lovely national parks, the weather here can change very quick so before you set out somewhere be prepared always take warm clothing and let someone know where you are heading, always take notice of weather warnings and advice from park rangers, the weather is mostly good from november until the end of march but after that it can get really cold

The Bruny Island Charter Tour is fantastic. You can go there directly or take a tour from Hobart
See brunycharters.com.au

I live in Tasmania. :D

I would suggest Port Arthur! You can go on a really spooky night tour, i got real scared, you can go hiking, go to Ben Lomond, Take a walk to the Leven Canyon, go to the Gorge.

Tasmania is rich in history! :)
I live here and i'm still discovering new things about Tasmania.

Hope you have fun here.
