I am an X-ray tech looking for work in hawaii, willing to relocate? |
Just trying to figure out where they pay the best in hawaii for X-ray tech's and is there a shortage of people in my field there? There is a shortage, and they may pay some relocation if you are willing to make a commitment to stay for awhile. Hawaii Medical Center will NOT pay the best and I would stick with the big medical centers--Queen's, Kapiolani, Straub, and possibly Kaiser. I would be surprised if there was a lot of difference in pay between the major hospitals on Oahu. If you search for The Queen's Medical Center, there is a website where you can browse for job openings & submit an application on line. We only have 2 major hospitals and 5 private hospitals on Oahu! |

Both are great and i can't really give you an answer because they are both good places. Try out Maui. ...Your address is in downtown Honolulu (NOT Waikiki) and there are no cheap hotels in the area. I agree with Pagoda--very easy to get to downtown via the bus. Also anything in Waikiki is accessible... If you like to hike, you'll definitely want to go up to the top of Diamond Head.
