Will it be warm enough to go swimming in galveston in april? |
Will it be warm enough to go swimming in galveston in april? The avarage temp in April is about 75 and the avarage low is about 65 degrees. The water temp ranges from 57 to 62 degrees throughout the year. The air temp might be warm enough, but the water temperature won't be, unless you don't mind really cold water. And, even when the air temp is warm, the breeze coming off the gulf is chilly. So, I'd wait until at least June to swim, but I don't get into the water unless it's at least 80 degrees (water temp). The water will be chilly, but not awful. Water temps will be in the 60s. Air temperatures will be in the upper seventies to mid-eighties. It will be ok...but you wanna go swimming in nasty galveston? sorry to say g-town is nasty it's not my cup of tea but yeah it'll be warm enough I am sure it will be warm enough, but who swims in Galveston Beach. Go to South Padre Island, it is a bit of a drive but a beautiful beach! |
