Leaving for Kansas City, MO next week. any recommendations??

I am going to kansas city next week. ive never been there before.
what do you recommend doing, seeing...
any "must go to" restaurants?

One of my favorite spots if you like shopping and dining is Country Club Plaza or generally referred to as only "The Plaza" Other favorites: The Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art, Unicorn Theatre, Fiorella's Jack Stack Barbecue, Kansas City Zoo, The Blue Room, Bar Natasha, almost all of the botannical gardens and seeing the town lit up at night. You can find all these on the link below. You're going to be surprised at what KC has to offer and you'll have a GREAT time there. Have a fun and safe trip!

I don't know how long you'll be here or what part of town you're staying in, but here are a few recommendations:

Shopping: the Plaza.

Museums: Liberty WWI Memorial, Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art

Food: Get some BBQ in. Most restaurants in KC are franchises, so there isn't a whole lot of selection for things uniquely Kansas City. Gate's BBQ is one of them. So are the following: Try Bo Ling's if you like Chinese food. Minsky's if you like pizza. Garozzo's or Carmen's if you like Italian.

If you want BBQ you must try Arthur Bryant's. It's uniquely Kansas City and the best in my humble opinion.
The Nelson-Atking Museum is breath taking.
Great pricey shopping on The Plaza, if you want outlet try the Legend's Mall.

You gotta eat some ribs. Go to Gates & Sons.

Go to the Crown Plaza by Union Station.

Go to the Country Club Plaza.
