Is it safe to travel to kenya in april 2008?

The Foreign Office is advising against travel to Kenya at the moment.

Absolutely. Most of Kenya is back to normal. There are still some places that are trouble spots. But for the most part it is safe. So far no tourists have been affected by the violence. Some governments are being cautious about advising people on travel to Kenya, but that is to cover their own backs.

Tourists are coming back to Kenya. The first cruiseship docked in Mombasa yesterday, showing that the tour operators consider it safe.

By April everything will have returned to normal.

Yes it is safe to travel to Kenya but it also depends on the locations you want to visit. Most tourist locations are very safe and were not affected by the post election violence. The whole country has returned back to normalcy. The peace talks are heading in the right direction. So things can only get better.
