Have you ever been to Montpellier in France?

what's your experience? good? bad?

I studied in Montpellier and I love this city! People are so young, cool, open minded over there. More, the weather is great, the beaches not far, and the architecture is truly beautiful.
It's a great place to go if you are up to meet a lot of different people!

I used to go there regularly with my family until we moved to Spain. We loved it. Also Perpinion (i think that how its spelt) is really very nice with lovely beaches and mountains in the back ground. u also have a little town right on the border of France Spain that I cant remember the name of but u can buy really cheap stuff there. Also ryan air fly there REALLY cheaply we got a flight in May for 22 pounds each from Stansted.

Very good experience in Montpellier. Took a one week language course there for half a day everyday and enjoyed walking around the older cobblestone parts of the city. Definitely worth a visit, but not too long if you don't have something like a course planned as there isn't that much to see aside from the quaintness. You could do a several day trip of Montpellier, Nimes, and Avignon to make is really interesting. Trains connect all three cities.

Montpellier is a great city! It's a city whose size is convenient. It's a pleasant place to be! There are a lot of good restaurants and clubs!
And you'll be able to go to the beach in Pallavas.

Hi

I live nearby and am a regular visitor.
It is a favourite with residents, students and tourists because :

Vibrant
Mix of medieval & new cities
Good public transport
Cheap restaurants
Good sports facilities
Only 5 miles from the beach
Good road, rail and air links
300+ sunny days / year
