Why do people (well singers loool) shorten "Walad" to "Wad" or "Wala"????

walad is the standard way of saying 'boy'

wad is the rubbish,ugly way of saying 'boy', [used by street arabs, homeless, uneducated, low class etc.]

wala is the classic, slang Way of saying 'boy' [ used by everyone, usually to call someone]

like 'wala youssef, ta3ala hena' = " boy youssef, come here"

I prefer it when they use real words.

walad is said when someone does something good and he /someone else wants to show he likes it .
wad is insulting .it means i see him as a boy .
wala is also insulting .
the 3 terms are egyptian slang .
