Is it cheaper to hire a car before you go to spain rather than hire it when you get there?

Is it cheaper to hire a car before you go to spain rather than hire it when you get there?

We flew to Murcia many times ,we always got them of the Internet.
there are loads of car hire places at the airport and all reasonably priced, millions of cars so their wont be a problem.
But don't get them from the car hire company's here as they cost you lots more.
If you have time get on the Internet, then you have your code number when you get there?.
Good hunting.

If it's for a short time, then almost certainly. If you are going to be there for a while and are prepared to look around for the best deal you may be able to get a cheaper rate, but if it's for a holiday it's not worth it.

Search on the internet for the best rate and just book it would be my advice.

When you get there, like that you can shop around.!!!

Both ways are fine, but i think you should check out the offers Online before you depart. its also always better to have a car waiting for you when you arrive.

Booking in advance is almost always cheaper if you want to collect the car from the airport. If you are looking to rent from your resort or a city centre you may get a better deals by shopping around locally.
It also depends on the time of year, during the summer holidays and over Xmas and New Year you will always do better booking in advance on the Internet as cars will be in short supply in Spain and prices will rise. Where as during quieter times you can sometimes make a deal in Spain if the car company has vehicles sat around.

You should be looking to pay no more than 拢80 for a small car for a week including all insurance packages and with no excess

Not much difference, sometimes booking online in advance can be cheaper but check all the terms and conditions.

go to your hotel, go out that night and find a good expat bar, english or whatever and ask the owner/manager for a good deal, there's always someone they know who will give you a price, 12-15 quid a day for a newish air-con/electric window jobby is about right. the smaller it is, like a ford ka, the better the fuel consumption. plus you'll be mates with a few people who are helping you out. expats are always ready to help out. have fun and drive around a lot!!!!

It is often cheaper to pre-pay for car hire. Not only do you get a better deal but it guarantees availability. You can always get some quotes....from some car hire websites.
Holiday Autos is a good site which can offer a competitive price.

It is definitely cheaper to hire it via the internet before you go. I am in Spain now and hired a car from a company called doyouspain.com
It cost me 42 pounds for two days. You reserve it on line and pay by credit card on arrival. Good luck

Look around on the internet - there are loads of car rental companies in the area. Find the best deal and book in advance, your car will be waiting at the airport.

Yes. a three day car hire eg. Fora Ka with air con is 拢51 with www.auto-europe.co.uk which is mighty cheap cheap, so book it on line before you go This price is for picking up and dropping off at the airport. Another car company is www.solmar.es well recommended
