Is there a good film school in Amsterdam?

where is it?
Why is it recommended?

There's the http://filmacademie.nl/EN/home.jsp in Amsterdam, it's THE Dutch film academy... It has a good reputation but I couldn't name three good Dutch movies if you asked me so, honestly, if I had to choose a country to study filmmaking in, it wouldn't be the Netherlands.

just for deserved props, I like Alex van Warmerdam movies, but as far as I remember I've only seen two, Abel and Ober...

If I wanted to study filmmaking (and I have actually thought about doing so) I'd choose the USA, Sweden, Denmark, Germany or the U.K.

... Actually, Russia or one of the other East-European countries might also be quite interesting.

And to answer your fourth question, ;)

"Acceptance requirements - Applicants whose first language is not Dutch should be fluent in written and spoken Dutch. They may have to demonstrate this by sitting an exam. "

The closest good, reputable film school is at 250 kms : The INSAS in Brussels. French speaking though, but with a dutch speaking sister named RITCS.
