Apart of red light district in amsterdam, where else is it fun to go?

amsterdam,redlight,travel

im on budget travel,,where is the cheapest backpackers inn there..

As far as the cheapest accomodation, you should stay at BOBs Youth Hostel, or the Flying Pig, or the International youth Hostel near the Vondelpark.
As far as things to do... there's the Leidseplein with its nightlife (check out the Paradiso or the Melkweg for live events).

The Paradiso http://www.paradiso.nl/ Weteringschans 6-8, near Leidseplein. In an old church very nice and populat live music venue. Discos also held here

The Melkweg http://www.melkweg.nl/ Lijnbaansgracht 234, near Leidseplein. Another very nice music venue. The biggest acts come to either here, the Paradiso, the Heineken Music Hall, or the Ajax Arena.

Go to Rembrandtsplein too.
For museums there are a few of the best in the world... Go to the Rijksmuseum, or the Van Gogh museum.
You could go to the Anne Frank House.
You could go to the Botanical gardens.
You could go to Harlem, Utrecht, Leiden nearby.
Rent a bike and bike away from the city into the fields (maybe a trip to Naarden (an old fort)
Also worth visiting: Allard Pierson Museum (with its Egyptian, Etruscan, etc. archeaological collection - a friend of mine complained "too many replicas"); the Bijbels museum (with its bible collection); the Joods Historisch Museum (Jewish history and culture); the Artis (zoo); the Hermitage Amsterdam (changing art exhibits); Nemo (biggest science center in the Netherlands mainly for kids- but fun for adults too); and, finally, the Museum Vrolik (includes bones, embryos and specimens of congenital deformities- for the desentisized).
Go to a brown cafe (alcohol only). Good list here:

Dollywood

I enjoy Montreal Canada. There is the bars on St. Cathrine's st, but there are also a lot of cultural hotspots. There's a casino, and at the right time of year, you can catch some sort of festival. Plus they have a HUGE underground mall. There is something for everyone.

because you find prostitution fun?????

Amsterdam is a great city with lots to se and do. There are many many museums, and the architecture is some of the best in the world, canal boat rides, Heineken experience, coffeeshops, rent a bike and ride around it's a great way to see the city, shopping, hop on a train and within 30 minutes to an hour you can see many of the dutch towns and cities. There are several clubs and bars, restaurants and cafe's.
Haven't met many who did not like Amsterdam and have a great time while there.

Just walking around A'dam is fun, and so many buildings etc to take pictures of. If you want something more exciting, you'll find it by looking around the travel guides on the web. The red light district is closing down some of the windows, so if you go there, hurry. And don't try to take pictures, as someone will grab your camera and keep it. Actually, it is no big deal, so don't think that will be the highlight of your trip.
Go to the flower market, and the shop that makes wooden shoes. And better yet, take a trip out of town to Marken or one of the outer areas. By train, it is a short trip and inexpensive.
There are many travel books in the bookstores, so drop in, take a pen and paper, and write down some of the places to visit. Also, read Ricksteve's website, and you will find lots to see and do. Read the graffiti wall for more advice.
Have fun. I lived there ten years and loved it. Holland is great. ,
