Is Amsterdam, netherland coastal or inland? |
Is Amsterdam, netherland coastal or inland? I would think Amsterdam will be classed as inland, even though it is close to what used to be known as the zuiderzee (now largely reclaimed from the sea), and is a port for mainly inland waterway 'barges' Amsterdam is inland. Distance to the North Sea is about 30 km/20 miles (30 minute drive). For Dutch distances Amsterdam is inland, but when you look at it with international eyes it is a coastal town. |
