I have a glass smoking "bong". How can i clean it safely with out it breaking or being harmfull to my lungs?

I realize smoking in general is harmfull to my lungs. I just need some pointers from those who may have cleaned a glass bong or two. FYI i am trying to find a way with out the use of any chemicals such as rubbing alcohol or cleaning products.

there are special things they sell in smoke shops to clean them.

hot water and bicarbonate of soda, pour it in, let it soak and pour it back out, maybe give it a bit of a shake too. let it dry and your good to go

(if you dont have b.soda then just use hot water a couple of times)

the rubbing alcohol won't hurt you... it dissipates. I put salt in the pipe, and then I pour some alcohol in there, and shake it and shake it. Rinse, repeat. The salt removes the stuff inside with the alcohol. I promise it will come out completely clean. rinse with hot water, and it will be sanitary.

you can buy this stuff called 'bong bath' it is ussally pinkish. you would find it at most bong shops and some tobbaconists... hope that helps.

you need to get purple power or some other type or degreaser let it soak for a while and run hot water through
it and repeat if necessary...but of coarse you got to throw rezen out

I pour boiling water + dilluted dettol mixture (1 part dettol to 5 parts water) in it and then rinse it thouroughly. I clean the cone peice with an earbud, and stoke it with a bobby pin.

From my experimenting as ateen we used denture tablets in warm water let it sit for about 20mins and use a babys bottle brush to remove whats left.Rinse well.
