Is it expensive to live in the netherlands?

housing expanse ?
do they speak a diffrent language?

I don't think the Netherlands is an expensive country (I live here). Taxes are high but you get a lot back too(if you plan on living here long enough to get it back haha). Childcare is very cheap as is university (no need for you to save for your kids' tuition!) and if you don't earn too much, you also get back money from tax for health insurance .

Housing can be expensive but it's still a lot cheaper than most big cities in the world. Depending on where you want to live, a studio can cost anything from 255 euro (for students and you have to get on a list) to well over 1000 euro per month. Salaries here are lower but as I said, you wouldn't have to save much . My parents had to save for our education and each of us cost more than a house in the city so I would say that;s quite a big burden off your shoulders!

Yes, they speak Dutch but English is widely understood.

If you plan on moving here, you should probably check if you're even allowed to do so! They're pretty strict about non-EU nationals now.

hmm im not sure about if it's expensive
but they speak dutch I think...
lol

Not particularly expensive, depends what you are used to.
For British nationals, there are a variety of possibilities and options to make working there quite decent (ie: worthwhile and easy). They do have slightly different methods for renting accommodation (much the same as any country) and I would look at having around 3-4 months rent available before moving in somewhere, though house-sharing may be different.
Travel by plane, ferry, train is as cheap as anywhere in western Europe - probably cheaper and quicker to get from Amsterdam and Rotterdam to the south/north of England than from south/north of England to north/south of England.
Beer and food, entertainment is much of a muchness to the UK. Depends what you spend your money on.

The national language is dutch but most speak English, usually better than most British people, as well as a myriad of other european languages (German, Belgian dialects (I worry about the spellings so that is as defined as I am prepared to be!) etc). Most (probably all!) towns have a dutch language course for non-nationals to learn the lingo if you want to, probably worthwhile if you want to stay more than a few years.

The official language of the Netherlands is Dutch. You can manage without Dutch in the built-up region around Amsterdam, the Hague, but you do need to learn it outside of these regions.

In the west, in the same area, housing is quite expensive, but if you are a student you can get some help through a student housing organisation.

Rent of a small house: about 350 euros a month
Cost of buying a house: depends on location, but my sister bought a sweeeet house for 200,000 euros
Yes, the Dutch speak a different language, and we are not as good at English as many foreigners seem to think, lol!

I live in Leiderdorp Netherland in a 5 bedroom 2 full bath home near schools. I pay 1950.00 euro a month (around $2600.00) not including water or gas. But it really depends on what you need and where you want to live. We have 2 kids and wanted lots of space for them.
Then native language is Dutch but they also learn Germany, English and Spanish in school. I dont speak any dutch but have learned to read enough to get by with the grocery shopping and what ever else i may need.

Yes very expensive!
That's why so many people of Holland come to emigrate to neighbor country Belgium.
Because our health insurance is much cheaper then in Holland.
And what happens now here in Belgium?Because we have so many coming from Holland life gets also very expensive(food, housing etc...) here in Belgium.

to rent a house around 1000 euros
to buy a house between 300000 - 400000 euros
they speak dutch, but almost everybody knows english
