How can I ride in a Mardi Gras parade? |
I am from southeast Louisiana. Does anybody know of who I would have to talk to ride in a parade? I live south of New Orleans so any info would be greatly appreciated. I know it ended already. I was thinking about next year duhhhhh. YES USUALLY AROUND OR BEFORE CARNIVAL IF U LOOK IN THE CLASSIFIEDS YOU CAN FIND ADS LOOKING FOR RIDERS OR YOU CAN RENT A FLOAT FOR A PARADE........ find a friend who owns a float or a company that has a float and ask them if you can ride with them its a differnt type of party on the float. You can either join a carnival organization [most expensive way], or you can ride in the truck parades [cheapest way] on Mardi Gras Day. You can start looking in the New Orleans Times Picayune newspaper classified ads under "Mardi Gras ", and there will usually be an ad seeking riders. Ask a week before Mardi Gras, not a week after it ends. |
