What are the difference b/w those big MTA buses the mta uses these large "articulated" buses where ever they can depending on the ridership. they are made by new flyer, and is model number is d60hf. there isnt any diff i guess but u can use either. if u miss 1 u can use the other The big ones are used for bus lines that tend to get more riders. The MTA finds it more convenient to get a big bus to fit all the riders rather than to get more smaller buses to carry the riders. Other places have just the small ones because of the lack of riders. Therefore some lines have big buses and some don't. The small buses are CNG buses. The MTA is in a process of replacing the older gasoline powered buses with CNG (Compress Natural Gas) buses. These bus are ment to reduce the CO2 levels in the amothphere. It also will help reduce the large number of asthma cases in the parts of the City. There are called bus fleets. Why cant poeple from cali reply!..maybe we want to go visit and find out too haha! j.k Good luck in finding the answer I have a car and here in cali isnot that BUSY! |
