How long will it take to drive from London to Newcastle? Assuming that that is Newcastle on Tyne, not Newcastle under Lyme, according to Autoroute it is a distance of 278 miles and would take around 4 hours to drive it. That always depends on variables such as weather, traffic, and hold ups...and any stops you may want to take though. I'd say about 6 or 7 hours. Try this website and enter your starting and finish address for the approx journey time....... roughly about 5 hours, though it will depend on how many stops you take, what time of day your leaving, if you hit any roadworks. national express coaches take about 6 1/2 hrs with an 30min break inbetween and a few pick-up stops. I used to drive from newcastle to london regularly and if the roads were quiet it would take about 4 to 4 and a half hours |
