Vacation to Disney World with a 4 year old.?

We are planning on taking a vacation to Disney World in September 2008 with our daughter who will be 4 1/2 years old at that time. Is she to young? She knows what Disney World is, and everthing that it has to offer.

We took our daughter for the first time when she was 4 1/2 and she just loved it. We also went in September which is such a great time because the parks aren't very crowded. When we were at Magic Kingdom we literally walked on the Peter Pan Ride and Small World Ride. As with the other rides the waits were very short. Be sure to head over to Toontown to see where Mickey and Minnie live. There is also a Goofy Roller coaster there which my daughter absolutely loved and they had to persuade her to get off because she wanted to ride forever!! I'd be sure to rent a stroller though because even at 4 it is a lot of walking. We saved money by buying a stroller pass up front for all the days and I'm thankful I did. My daughter enjoyed the character dinners. We saw Winnie the Pooh and friends, Mickey and friends and the princesses. Her favorite dinner was at Chef Mickey's. Also try and take in some of the parades so she can see a lot of the characters up close and the fireworks at night are a must. One thing my daughter enjoyed probably more than the parks themselves was riding the boats and monorail. We were able to ride up in front in the monorail. All we did was ask and luckily it worked out for us. It was neat to be able to see out the front. If your daughter is into princesses, the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique might be a fun thing for her. My daughter least enjoyed Epcot so if you are short on time that might be one of the parks to bypass. She was very bored with the World Pavilion. However her favorite ride of the entire trip was Soarin'. I'm not sure where you are staying but we stayed at the Wilderness Lodge and my daugher loved the bunk beds and balcony. Each night there was a little light show out on the water to enjoy. Your daughter will have lots of fun! Enjoy!

No it will be great for her just remember that it is a really big place and she will get tired really fast i suggest you take a stroller with you for her to ride in from point to point

I think your daughter will have a wonderful experience. There is a section at the Magic Kingdom that is dedicate to little kids with rides for them. Mickey's house is located there.
If your daughter like to dress up like the princess you can get her a nice little dress, too.
Rent a stroler at Disney, those are big and I saw a lot of people using it around the parks.

The only thing would be the height for some of the attractions. Check this website www.touringplans.com it has a lot of information about the parks and itineraries. Also get a book "Unofficial guide to Disney with kids", it is really helpful.

Are you kidding, she'll love it, she's just at the age where she'll remember that trip years from now. There is so much to do, it's such a magical place for children, she's going to love it. Below is a guide to help you find things, and the cost. Enjoy your trip, I wish I was going.

we took our sons when the older one turned 4 and he absolutely loved it . the magic kingdom is the best place to be but dont get stuck with 7 day passes buy one day to see how you all like it and then go from there, there is a lot to see and do there and too much time overwhelms them and you trust me we did that

We took our 4 year old in 2006. He had a good time. He remembers it very well and can't wait to go back. He was very intimidated by the rides and people. I wouldn't worry so much about rides especially if the lines are long. He enjoyed meeting the characters like the power rangers and crush from finding nemo.

If you think she is old enough to remember then yes. Children love it and Disney world is crawling with children. Lots to keep track of so the real question is she ready for it and are you ready to deal with all the crowds with her?

4 is perfect! Everything seems real at that age! You will have a lot of fun, but make sure you get some cheap tickets to Disney! Get them from http://www.OrlandoFunTickets.com

Enjoy what YOU want to do at Disney, she is young but 98% of what you do at Disney, she will love, so plan your intinerary and i will be willing to bet, she will have a ball!

She is not too young! Go and have a wonderful time!!
Take lots of pictures!

No not at all. Mine is 5 now but we took her for her 1st time for her 4th birthday. She still talks about it today. I was nervous that she wouldn't remember but I was soooo wrong. If she's into the princess thing, take her to the Bipadie Bobitty Boutique ( I spelled that sooo wrong). They will dress her from head to toe as her favorite princess. Take her in the morning so she can walk around Magic Kindom in her princess costume. Then take her to the 5 o'clock parade so she can see her princess. Snow White came up to my daughter, gave her a hug, and told her how beautiful she looked (she was dressed up as snow white). My daughter was so excited, a little tear rolled down her cheek. I cried it was so sweet!!! :) Anyways, have fun!!!!!!!
