Moving boxes?

Does anyone know where i can find free or cheap moving boxes?

Liquor stores have the best boxes for glassware. They're divided to keep the bottles from banging around, and work great for your stemware and every day drinking glasses.

Grocery stores also have good boxes in many sizes and shapes. Just ask one of the managers, and they'll hold back a handful of boxes for you, and will tell you when you can come and pick them up.

You may have to purchase a few boxes, though. If you do, go to U-Haul. They have different sized boxes and can give you an idea of what you'll need to pack your things. They also have a checklist you can use, so you can label your boxes properly.

One thing I'd heard about, but didn't do with any of my moves, was to take a picture of the room the box needs to be put in, not just write it on the box. With a picture on the box, anyone can put it in the right place. But that may end up being more of an expense than you want to deal with. It was for me. lol

Also, be sure to have a list of each box and it's contents. When you get to your new place, you can go down the list and discover, quickly, which boxes are missing, or just misplaced.

Go to your local Walmart store (it's better at night) and ask one of the managers. When I used to work there we would save boxes all the time for other associates and customers. It won't cost you anything as they just make a bale out of them. Also call other places like Target, the grocery store and such.
