What is there to do in Bocas del Toro, Panama?

I am going to Bocas for Spring Break. I was wondering if anyone could help me find something fun to do down there.

This is a beautiful place to visit dolphins and beautiful beaches! Many people are getting business there. There is a special island there that you can see the famous frogs, a bit bigger than a thumbnail that are colorful and poisonous and can only live on the island. See the starfishes at your feet too.

Bars are good, but the main attraction is relaxing at the beach and ocean.

Check out Isla Draco, Isla Pajaros and Isla las Estrellas.

It is pretty quiet and laid back but if you are going to the main island/capital there are some nice bars and sometimes live music. There are a lot of tours you can take to go fishing, to go to remote beaches or to see dolphins. It is a beautiful place.

It's very quiet and laid back because of all the old AmeriKan ex-pats that have moved there and built houses... it's no spring break place to go... there are much better choices than that.

Take an ecotour - check out bocasdeltoro.com

They have Scuba lessons down there.
I think about I paid about $60 for lessons, gear rental, and one trip diving. They take you down about 30 feet. A lot of fun. The whole thing take about 2 to 3 hours. There are several dive shops right in Bocas Town.
Take a trip out to Red Frog Beach on Zapatilla key, it is a really nice beach.
Hope your Spanish is good. There are not too many English speaking people there, no matter what you read in books.
One more thing, stay away from the Hotel El Limbo on the Beach. It is not a good place to stay.

Boar Ride
Eat
Surfing
Sailing
Scuba diving
Scene watching
bird watching
beach walking
hamac sleeping

go to Bocas del Toro by yourself and realize the beauty of this province have to offers to its visitors.

Bocas would not be the "typical" Spring Break student vacation..it is, as others have said, a laid back venue..translate "laid back" as meaning..not a lot of what you are used to, to do..it is beautiful..it is lots of "rustic" area beach..water can be a problem from time to time...as in there isn't any..for an hour or two to a day or two...infrastructure all over Panama has yet to catch up with the growth..Bocas would probably be the quietest spring break you ever dealt with...might be a good idea..relax..take in the scenery, go diving, visit the couple bars.. but relaxation here is the order of the day..because..there's really not much else..

I would say scuba diving is the most popular activity on Bocas del Toro.
