Traveling to Portland, What to do??

I will be in Portland from thu feb 21 to wed feb 27, is there anything good going on then, or whats fun to do downtown???

So much great stuff here... you'll love it!!

* Live music (I recommend the Crystal Ballroom, the Doug Fir Lounge, Dante's, Hawthorne Theater, the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall and the Roseland Theater.)

* If you're a reader, don't even think about missing Powell's!! It's the largest independent bookstore in the country, and the main store downtown takes up an entire city block!!

* The Oregon Zoo is a lot of fun if you like animals and not too far from downtown

* The Rose Garden, if you like NBA basketball. The Blazers are one of the hottest teams in the country this year!

*If you're a fan of cinema, check out one of our many independent theaters. Some of my favorites are Cinema 21, Bagdad and Cinemagic.

* There are a lot of great restaurants all around. I can't even begin to name all of them, but Bombay Cricket Club is one of my favorite, if you like awesome Indian food!

There is a lot to do here in Portland.

At night: Theater, Movies, Live Music, Sports (Basketball, Hockey), Skiing (Largest night time ski resort an hour away), Shopping, Casual to Fine Dining.

On the weekend during the day you could Ski Mt Hood, Sight see in the Columbia River Gorge, Go to a nearby Casino.

There is actually too much to list and since I don't know your age an what you like to do let me suggest this web site to make some choices:

Enjoy your time here.

Short edit here: I forgot to mention that Portland has the greatest number of micro-breweries in the United States. You could tour breweries and wineries.

below are other sites you can explore. There is always something happening around town. Plus there's tri-met to wander around outside the downtown area.
