I want to go to Rio DE Janerio, I want to know how much cost of living in Rio? and How is Rio like?

I want to stay there for six month for a research period. I want to know how much costs to need for living per month.

If you are gone live on a Brazilian pay check, it is better to be a good one. Cause Rio is a very expensive city because of the tourism.

If you are gone have money coming in from (where?) it can be really nice and easy.

Food at grocery store is cheap anywhere in Brazil. Meat is not expensive.

Clothing and shoe can be expensive depending where you buy. There are some stores in Brazil you can pay a fortune for clothes. Look for bargains.

The closer you live to the beach, the more you will pay for rent.
Barra da Tijuca can be a nice place to live. I saw an apt with 2 bedroons for 1400 Reais. Including condo fees.
About 800 US dollars.

The costs to live here it will depend on how do you want to live (with confort ?)

Food is cheap, even in restaurants
Taxi is expensive
I believe that you going to need around 3000 dolares per month, like I said if you want to live confortable

Rio is one of the most dangerous cities in the world, I think you should go to other city in Brazil, I really dont know, I have never been there but I know is very dangerous
