I think USA afraid ofRussia and try to take to her side some Balkan countries in order to feel safe.Do u agree

In my opinion USA sees that Russia becoming a bigger power than her (also US dollar is "falling") and in order to feel safe , Americans want to take some small Balkan countries in their side (Albania, FYR Macedonia) and make plans for them...

On the other hand they make all these bad actions in the countries which are more close to Russia like Serbia and Greece.

They recognise a part of Serbia, Kossovo, as independent country and support the FYR Macedonia and cause problems to Greece.

Only to make happy her new allies and controll them in order to make plans for the famous "anti-rocket shield" against Russia.

USA put new "fires" in the Balkans .

Do you agree with this? I want your opinion please .

Thank you all for your answers.

But i think that USA should get involve only in her region.

Let Europe, and other regions of course, to solve their problem alone and not making all these actions only for your own interests in that area !

Don't think only like the "the big USA", put your selves in the place of the other nations and be well informed by many sources in order to take right decisions.

Because in order to make true your plans and interests you can make a chaos in other countries !

I'm not really certain the US is afraid of Russia...

I do not think america is afraid of russia. It's more a matter that people over there are picking on or being mean to the little guy. Which is the new country. America is attempting to make the situation a little better in that area of the world. If our 2 countrys to goto war. And no one else joined or helped directly in the war. I feel that america would win. But being in and winning wars is not what we should be worried about. We should be worried about taking of each other as a whole ! Not fighting over who is right or wrong.

i dont think so is only about the money, but afraid? noooo we are afraid in our universities, about our food, about our vegetables spinach, but afraid about other country??? naaaaaaaaaaa
we are looking for new lands for the TLC in southamerica, caribbe, Canada, central america, europe, bring airplane plants from europe to United States, because the cost of living is cheap in comparision with the world ..but afraid? no i dont think so
worry for sale more tanks and rockets that is why USA is afraid we are looking for new markets....and the new markets are the new fragile countries

I do not wish to offend you in any way.

However, you did ask for my opinion:

The average American really doesn't care at all about Russia or anything that is happening in that country. Not only do Americans not fear Russia, they see Russia as a backwards country. Unfortunately, a backwards country with guns and a leader with limited intelligence and scruples, and an unlimited desire for power. So, at worst, Russia could develope into an annoyance.

And, America does not see any country in the world as having the potential to becoming more powerful than she is.

When an American reads a message such as yours, it re-inforces two beliefs. 1) That Russian people are lied to by their government and their press. 2) That Russian people want desperately to be respected. I fear that this may not be accomplished very easily.

And, no, we have more pressing problems to deal with, and have no interest in putting "fires" in the Balkans.

I don't think the U.S. is afraid of Russia, just like they're not afraid of any other country. Once you get nuclear weapons all you have to worry about is other people not getting them and keeping normal relations with countries that do have them. The American public does seem to be a little bit more concerned about terrorists, but it's nowhere near the "duck-and-cover" fear of the Cold War.
As for instability in the Balkans, it is advantageous to the US because they encourage new states to enter NATO and willfully give up their land for various bases. Kosovo also sets a precedent for separatist movements all over Europe, and it's obvious that the US wouldn't shed a tear if Europe was torn by conflict and it's economical power diminished.

Surely not!!!! USA really supports the new countries.By the way there is nothing to be afraid of. Russia has already lost a lot of its power long time ago!!!!

Speaking as an American: There is a split in our country on exactly what our role in the world really is. Because we are a nuclear power and have a strong military, many, particularly those in power, believe that it is the US's responsibility to be the world's policeman. To maintain the world peace, to enforce the resolutions of the UN, to prevent radical dictators and terrorist from getting weapons, and so on. Then there are others (like myself) who feel that the UN, NATO and the like are a liability to our country. That the US should not be the lone country to enforce UN resolutions. Its the UN as to why our country got involved in Kossovo in 1999 and why we have been in two wars with Iraq. Is the US afraid of Russia? Not per se, but what we do fear is that someone irresponsible will gain access to nuclear weapons. That your country will be the supplier of such weapons.

On a different note, I personally like the Russians that I have met over the years. They have all been very polite, very friendly, and great to hold a conversation with.

This is an example of how delusional many Russians have become. I've been asked this type of thing many times in my travels to Russia. Its funny how much they obsess over America and they really don't get it that we don't care about them (confused said it best). I hate it when they ask me what Americans think of Russia, when the answer is, hardly any of them ever do.

Don't even get me started on the economy thing, many russians honestly feel their economy is better than Americas because it is growing at a faster rate. There is absolutely no comparison to the standards of living, 95% of the country is still worse than the slums of New Orleans. They don't even understand finance, even people who supposedly graduated as "economists".

"The Organization of the Islamic Conference has welcomed Kosovo's declaration of independence, saying it would be an asset to the Muslim world."

This is why. My country trying to be good on face of the Muslim nations. Watch, in the short period of time, Kosovo will unite with Albania to create first Muslim country in Europe.

What I am afraid of, is interpretation of word - independent.

Definition of Independent country: "The word independence means "not having to depend on anyone or anything else". It also means to "be strong and be able to survive alone".
