Good Communities in Sacramento area? |
Can anyone give me an idea of what are good communities in the Sacramento area? Specifically, a nice family neighborhood with newer (not older then four years) homes with 2000 + sq ft. I've heard of Elk Grove. Does anyone have any opinions on this city? Many thanks for the info. Elk Grove is a growing community. It is about 15 minutes away from downtown Sacramento if there is no traffic. I lived a mile from Elk Grove years ago. Rocklin and Roseville are also about 15-20 minutes from downtown Sacramento, but is closer to the Sierra Nevada mountains. Rocklin is just out of the fog belt and you don't have the cold "socked in" days that Elk Grove gets. Roseville/Rocklin has the Galleria Mall, you are close to the mountains and the school districts are excellent. I have lived in this area since 1989 and moved from the area you are thinking about. I would definitely look into this area over Elk Grove. Elk Grove for sure I live in Elk Grove it's got beautiful homes! But lots of traffic. Roseville is where its @ the place is expanding like crazy tons of new homes and great place to work very short commute to sac. i also like carmichael that would be my second choice folsom is nice too but way overpriced. on a side note heres where not to live del paso heights and north highlands theres others but those are the worst hope this helps Folsom is one of the best areas for newer homes, and south Rancho Cordova. I would suggest you would find better services in Citrus Heights, where I live. There are mixed new and old homes here, but the bus, library, schools and stores are all well established, and we have the best law enforcement in any of the surrounding areas. Sacramento County- Elk Grove homes in the area are 2000 sq ft 4/2 for 315 - 350. Good schools and demographics. |
