How is it like in Sacramento California?

We are moving there maybe this summer, and would like to know how its like there? Is it beautifull?is it a good place to live in?What are your experiences there? We are now located in Southern IL and I wanted also to start an acting career do you think it is a good place to beggin it?Thank you so much for your answers.

It's small-town USA combined with a bit of the big city. Sacramento was named the "America's Most Diverse City" in 2002. But unlike many metropolitan areas, you'll find all ethicities and political beliefs in most parts of town.

The city is hot during the summer, but it's a dry heat. Expect to make friends with the many pool-owners or plan trips to the nearby rivers or lakes.

During the winter, you'll find a light dash of snow about once every 5 years, so leave your snowshovel back home. If you want to play in snow, it's about 1 1/2 to 2 hours up the road.

There's a myrid of theatre opportunities here, both large and small. Our local State University (CSU Sacramento) had some fella named Tom Hanks here during his formative years and drama, comedy, and music abounds.

For the more dramatically focused, San Francisco and it's many stages lies 90 miles away.

If you want hustle and bustle, Sacramento's the wrong place. But if you want a place where you can relax and be yourself, where people walk out in the evening and strangers say, "hi", welcome to Sacramento.

It's full of smug. One day California will be swallowed by the smug caused by all the snotty hybrid drivers.
(Plus you'll die from using toilette paper or even water in CA)

its very nice
