I'll be spending two days vac in Sacramento Ca - what are the best things to see/do? |
Wife and I from Scotland touring California in June - starting in Sacramento - interested in nice hotels, good food, sights, museums, history. Hotels: I would like to recommend either the Embassy Suites in Old Sacramento or Le Rivage (a brand new five star suite hotel). both are on the Sacramento River and offer a unique ambiance. well sacremento was where gold was first found. definley go to old town sacremento. Here are some suggestions. you can probably find more information on them doing an Internet search: the people above me gave great suggestions. I might add that you should prepare for hot weather; Sacramento is typically around 100 degrees F in june, if you've never been in that kind of heat it can be a shock. Definitely dress for warm weather. The California Gold Rush area is just a short drive from Sacramento. You can visit historic mining towns, explore caves, go antique shopping, and enjoy wine tasting at wineries. |
