Does Sacramento have any entertainment/major attractions? (e.g. great beaches, Grand Canyon, Statue of Liberty |
...etc.) Old Town is an area that tourists will visit to browse the shops and eat. There are a number of theaters and museums in town. Many people visit the area in the summers to raft down the American River....there are rafting companies that provide guided raft trips. No, Sacramento has no attractions that compare to attractions in New York or any other major city. It is a really boring place to be a tourist. One of the few fun things to do is to visit Old Sacramento and the Railroad Museum. Yea right. Not. I have lived here all my life, do not intend to move, and love it. But, we have no Grand Canyon, Statue of Liberty etc. However, there are sights to see, depending on your interests. We have Sutter's Fort or Historic Folsom, Sacramento Zoo, and Fairytale Town. You can go to the Sacramento or American River or Folsom Lake for the beach. Reno, Tahoe and SF are only 2 hours away. The sun shines here most of the time, I'd guess more than 9 months out of the year. yeah thers old sac n the state capital man!!!!!!!!! There are major attractions like you have listed, but they are an hour or more drive away. World Famous Lake Tahoe, for skiing, casinos, etc. and Yosemite National Park are a day trip away. El Dorado HIlls and Folsom are beautiful places to visit near Sacramento. Just gorgeous places. |
