Has anybody here been to the Sacramento Zoo & Fairyland before?

My family and I live about 3 hours north of Sacramento, Ca. And I was thinking of going down and checking out the zoo and Fairyland. I have 2 little boys, Jason who is 4 and Cody who is 13 months old.

If you have been there what do you think??? Is it worth the 3 hour trip down???
Here is the website: http://www.saczoo.com

Thanks for the input! What other things should we do down there??? It is suppose to be in the 70's this next weekend! It should be nice weather!

Have a great week!! And Happy Valentines Day to all!

I was also wondering if you can walk from the zoo to Fairyland. Or do we have to drive. If you can walk how long is the walk?

Sacramento has a nice little zoo. It is probably perfect for the age of your children. Fairyland is right across the street....you just walk. This is a small park for toddler aged children. Also withing walking distance is a small amusement park that your two oldest boys would enjoy. There's also a pond and picnic areas nearby.

Enjoy!

Uhh, worth a 3 hour drive? That's up to you. The zoo is small, but well kept and easy to see the animals. You can easily see it in three hours. Fairy Land is just across the street and is another 1-2 hours depending on how tired your kids get. Lots of stuff to climb and play on.
Yes, weather is getting nicer here! However we are expecting rain middle of this week so I don't know.
Parking is terrible here, so get here 15 minutes or so before the zoo opens so you don't have to walk too far!
You can get a Zoo/Fairy Tale combo ticket too.

It is so worth worth for ur kids. And the zoo is like just a ajson to fairy tale town.Hope u enjoy!

Hello Cottonwood. My brother lives on Draper Rd. Well anyway. The zoo is small but really a great outing for the kids. I'm sure they will love it.
