I live in Lodi, CA; Where is the nearest place to go sledding / tobogganing?

I need a place that will not require chains to get there.

Can anyone help?

Leland Meadows is a great place to go sledding. They even have a tow to pull your tube back up the hill! Here are the directions:

From anywhere in the Bay or Central Valley take HWY 120/108 East to Sonora. Continue East on HWY 108 toward Sonora Pass. 4 miles past Strawberry turn right onto Leland Meadows Road. Continue on Leland Meadows Road approximately 2 miles.

Up highway 4 east of Arnold, toward bear valley ski area

Try driving to Mt. Shasta, Ca. There is a sledding area right before you go up the hill to the Mt. Shasta Ski park that is free to use. It is fun! My family and I take the Hour ( it would be like 4 1/2 for you) drive a few times a year to play!
