What to do in San Antonio and Austin for three days? |
I'm going to be in San Antonio and Austin next week for three days, anyone have any suggestions on what to do there? Thanks In San Antonio you can go on the River Walk and Alamo, both are nice place to visit. I just spent a long weekend in San Antonio and it was fantastic! We spent some time on the River Walk and by the Alamo (I had not been there before) and then we also went to the Witte Museum which was nice, rather small but we had a fun time. There are some great places to eat on the RIver Walk and all over downtown. The RW is mainly just restaurants until you get to a large mall at the end. It is a real pleasant place to walk and spend an afternoon. I didn't get a chance to go to the zoo or the hills around SA, which are nice to hike in. Hope you have a fun trip! Do you want city stuff, drinking, live music, outdoors stuff, museums? Will you have a car? Where are you staying? When? Right now? Riverwalk, San Antonio Museum, Brackenridge Park zoo, Witte Museum, eat at Jim's Classic Restaurant on Broadway, go to the HeB Central Market on Broadway, go to the Botanical Gardens, go back to the Riverwalk, go to the Alamo, go to the tourist area across from the alamo for more Ideas, go to natural bridge caverns...head out to shop in San Marcos at the wholesale area and then go to the bridge in Austin where hundreds of bats fly out at night, they even have tours for that, finally head out to 6th street and party some more while you listen to some killer bands...and the list goes on....dadedadeda. why don't u go chekc out some stores and other stuff like the outlet with a whole bunch of stores!!! In San Antonio, we have the riverwalk. There's a wax museum, Rigley's Believe It Or Not, Haunted House, bars, clubs, and the famous Alamo all right there. The Tower of Americus is pretty cool. Gorgeous view at night. In Austin, definately go to Lake Travis. Very pretty. Also, 6th street is a big favorite for the college kids in Austin. |
