Is there a DisneyLand opening in San Antonio TX?

Is there a DisneyLand opening in San Antonio TX?

The information I have received confirms that of Lalana and Beatrice, that they are looking at Seguin specifically as it is close to San Antonio, but is also located in an area with access from Houston, the coast, Austin and easy access to I-
35 for those comming down from the DFW area. again, the information was that about a year ago they were looking to start in about 5 years. As it would also be able to pull off the tourism already being drawn by Sea World Schlitterbahn and Fiesta Texas, as well as San Antonio itself it would be in a reasonable area. Also is on virtually the same parrallel with Orlando so the weather is as conducive as possible for the Pan-American traffic. They could use and probably increase San Antonio's almost 30 million tourist per year.

I don't think there is. If they were, I don't know where they'd put it.

I have a friend who works for Disney. She said that there are talks of beginning construction of an Alamo themed Disney World in the Seguin area within the next five years. This is on good authority.

I have heard the same rumours that there will be a Western themed park near Seguin in the future.

If you believed all the Disney rumors over the years, there would be a Disneyland in every state of the union.

Disney will not build a third theme park anywhere in the US as it will pull attendance from its two existing parks. They are currently budgeted to spend $1.2 billion to fix up California Adventure. They won't want to lose that investment.

I've heard the same for a while now, to take up that much space, it would have to be out by Toyota, close to Hondo, or east heading toward Seguin, my bet would be the later two.

My son works for the state of Tx and he has spoken with a land consultant, and yes Seguin is a prospect for Disneyland within 5 years..
