What is there to do in San Antonio? |
I'm going to be stationed there for my tech school and was looking into what there is to do there. Interested in history and and nature sight seeing. Thank you for your input. The River Walk OK there is everything what he said movies mall just like any city When I first moved here this big city was more a big town. We had only three malls and the latest is now non-existent. Yeah, I am that old. I went to college here, I have taught college here. This town is filled with ghosts and history and entertainment galore. Downtown is still my favorite area because despite the growth, it is still the quietest area. Ha. How about that? We have the Alamo and many more missions, there is the European riverwalk and the Southtown area where the Germans first came and built their own beautiful homes. Our zoo is beautiful and resembles San Diego's zoo because it is the sister zoo. We have beautiful parks and there is of course the river. We have many colleges and universities and well, as you know, tech schools. There is fiesta texas as well as THE FIESTA holiday and Sea World. Outside of that we are at the bottom of the hill country. We are an oasis in the middle of Texas. I would get a metal detector and or a shovel. I would take it to the Alamo and try to discover the gold that is alleged to be under the long house and the real reason for the defenders to have bled and died at the Alamo. Absolutely nothing! I moved here from California and I am so bored I cannot stand it! There is the usual movie and mall and if you are an alcoholic you will enjoy all of the bars and clubs but other than that, don't get your hopes up. The zoo is the best thing here. Oh, and the food is awful! I also love history and I was looking for museums etc. I found the best thing was a drive up to Houston. It's far but they have awesome museums. The holocaust museum is really interesting! Good luck! Let me know if you find anything else. (I am still looking myself!) |
