(NON-CALIFORNIANS)What do you think of California? What is yor opinion about people from California?

I'm just curious.

I am from Texas and went to San Fran and Santa Clara for about 3 months. I loved it there, people were very friendly and the land itself was very pretty. I don't know about the state as a whole but what I did see I thought was very nice.

they don't like wearing tshirts and like to surf. sorry...really stereotypical huh?

i am sure it is a beautiful state with potential in a not so beautiful area, just like any state. when it comes to californians they are going to be as diverse as in any state. some will be liked as others are not, and there will always be steriotypes, no matter where in the world you are.

The problem with most non-Californians is all they really have to base an opinion on is Hollywood. And let's face it the Hollywood/Beverly Hills crowd don't live in the real world. Personally I don't have a whole lot of an opinion at all except for the same one I have of Texans - They have an incredibly overblown opinion of themselves

Growing up in Oregon all my life and go there occasionally, I say its a bit pricier and different. It's a world of its own because it has several world famous theme parks, gorgeous beaches, Hollywood and all those stuff in just one state.

I enjoyed the couple years I lived there. I was in the high desert in Hesperia. The desert was nice, coming from a place where you might not see the sun for a couple weeks to a place where you might not see a cloud for a couple months.
There was a lot of freedom to roam, you could pretty much run at will through the desert and the mountains.
The negatives are the smog and gangs in schools. The people for the most part are down to earth.
