Snow in Tahoe? |
Is there snow in Tahoe in the spring? It really depends on the weather. Right now, we are getting a few storms coming in the bay area, which will probably get up to the Sierra Nevada. I go skiing in the spring time also, but don't go after mid-April. The snows suppose to be really slushy, not too much snow, and hot. The perfect time to go is between now and late march. Snow is pretty much guaranteed through at least early April. After that, it's hit or miss. March is a popular month for skiing, as it's fairly warm during the day (but not at night) but still lots of snow. Tahoe skiing is a really popular spring break destination, if that gives you an idea. This should help ya. I have seen skiing there up to May, but at least through April. One ski resort that stays open the longest is probably Boreal ridge right off highway 80. Most ski resorts make their own snow. Some snow stays at the tops of the mountains year round. If you just want to pull off the road to play in the snow, I figure through March should be okay. |

There are quite a few private, independent K-8 s... Travel time via BART... they're about the same. SFO might be a few minutes quicker, but 10-15 at most.
