What are the people like in San Francisco? Is it easy to make friends?

I am planning to move to San Francisco within the next 2 - 4 months. I've heard many great things about the weather and the beaches, but what about the people?
Let me know what you think about the people in San Franciscoand.
I appreciate your responses.

I live in SF and LOVE it. In my experience people are very friendly but that will depend on where you are coming from. I am from LA so this is very laid back to me. People are accepting of everyone's perspective. Even Republicans don't get taunted too much.

I would recommend checking out Craigslist before moving here. It will help you find furniture, housing, roommates, friends and jobs. When I moved here I joined an activity group I found in Community-- activity partners and made lots of friends. I can honestly say I met most of my friends via Craigslist and even my boyfriend. It is the greatest advice anyone can give someone moving to SF. Also, check out SF greeters. They are a group that has locals give tours to visitors. A friend of mine volunteers there and often helps people moving to SF figure out what neighborhood fits their needs best.

I live near SF.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE SF
some of the people are interesting
but others are the most AMAZING people
you will ever meet in your life!
San Fransisco is FULL of undiscovered
talent
OH and the weather isnt all that great
and in the summer, thats the WORST
BUT ITS STILL THE BEST PLACE TO BE!

The people are pretty nice. As always in most big cities, there are some pretty mean and rude people. But, i guess we all just live with it. If you go to local parks or beaches, your probably most likely to meet people.

not really.

SF people are great, one of the many reasons I stay here.

I tend to be pretty sociable, so I chat up people a lot. Rarely, if ever, does anyone refuse to talk with me. Even though we're a world-class city, we're also pretty much of a small town, only 49 square miles.

After living in San Francisco for 13 years i think it is a great city. Yes the people are great i acctually know someone who was traveling from london to sf and they thought that the people were very nice. So yeah the people are great.

its has irs people some nice n some weird but depends how u treat people
