Where can I take my 13 year old brother out in San Jose, California?

I can drive so there's no limits, a place where I dont waste 2 much money preferably..lol I posted this question b4 but since i didnt get alot of answers I'm trying 2 c if I get more

I would think your 13 year old brother would enjoy any of the following with you:

nickel city, tech museum, hakone gardens, Bonfante Gardens, Happy Hollow Park and Zoo, Golfland, Great America, Santa Cruz Beach and Boardwalk, san jose skate (roller blading) on blossom hill road, logitech ice (ice skating) in dotwown san jose, bowling place on blossom hill or downtown san jose.

WELL... YOU COULD TAKE HIM DOWN TO A BEACH AND LET HIM SWIM AND HAVE A SMALL PICNIC OR YOU COULD TAKE HIM TO A CLOSE MUSEME OR SOMETHING THAT HE COULD HAVE FUN AT OR TAKE HIM TO THE MALL OR SOMETHING OR YOU COULD DO ALL THAT AND HE WOULD PROBLEY LIKE THAT ALOT AND I DONT THINK THAT WOULD COST ALOT OF MONEY AT ALL AND YEAH HE WAOULD THANK YOU FOR THAT

WELL GOOD LUCK AND I HOPE HE LIKES WHERE YOU TAKE HIM !!!

Well, if you have a car, you can go a lot of places fairly easily:

Santa Cruz is about 30 miles away and you can kick around there the whole day without spending a lot of cash. You can take HWY 9 over there and stop at Big Basin National Park and hike around. Just the drive over the SC is absolutely gorgeous and a good time!

If you want to stay in San Jose, you can go up to Alum Rock Park, which is an old mineral springs resort from the early 20th century. It has hiking trails and a river running through it, as well as picnic areas. It cost $6.00 per car to park there.

Happy Hollow Park and Zoo is one of my favorite places on earth. It's been around since I was a little kid. It can be enjoyed by little kids and older ones, too. The zoo is not huge, but very well-kept.

Right next to Happy Hollow is the Japanese Friendship Garden, which is a great place to take pictures.

Another really awesome place that he is the perfect age for is the Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum and Planetarium. Very cool exhibits--and the museum itself is beautifully designed.

Hopefully these give you some ideas. I lived in SJ for a long time and there is plenty of stuff you can do that is fun, inexpensive, and really cool.

he would probably like the tech mueseum if he is into science, maybe even an imax movie. movie theater is always a choice. downtown san jose has some great restaurants as well for a meal.

nickle city

I would take him to Great America in Santa Clara.

Golfland. A minture golf course, you can stay for hours, they also have an arcade.

Go to the Yahoo headquarters in the San Jose area and hang out in the parking lot until those cheap b.........drs give you guys a free t-shirt!

NICKEL CITY... it's an Arcade where all of the games are 5 cents. It's located on the south side of San Jose... if he enjoys game playing you guys can have a blast! There is an entrance fee of $2.00- and you play with as many nickel bags as you'd like. My younger cousins, ages 12-14, love this place. It's like a teenage version of Chuck E. Cheese minus the shows and jungle gym. Check the site out for more info... and have fun!
