What Monterey Bay Area beach is the best for bonfires?

I am planning on taking my girlfriend to a bonfire for valentines day. I have found what beaches allow bonfires, so i don't need any help with that. But what do you guys think is the best to go to for a romantic bonfire session (minimal crowds, noise, etc.). really appreciate it =)

I like the Aptos area....less crowded than some others.

Have fun!

I am not sure if you can have a bonfire on a beach in Carmel, but the do allow alcohol on the beach and nothing is more romantic than some wine and watching the sunset

Think logistics.
You want to be close enough to parking that it is not too much of a burden to carry wood, blanket, a picnic basket and possibly chairs down to the beach. Some girls might find it unromantic if you get down there all sweaty from the effort. Of course you do want be far enough away to have a little privacy and an intimate walk. State beaches close at 10PM The Park rangers often drive up to people on the beach with spotlights blazing.
You almost could use a friend to carry things down and set up for you. Then leave when you get there.

light knight to bad your a guy I would marry you light knight beat me to the punch but if you want to be classy rent a spot on the beach red white and blue comes to mind hey can I come to I don't have a date but that is what I would do and have the basket custumed made and skip on the wine beer is so much more appropo let us know how it went and email me if you want me to come I wont talk much untill after a sixer or so and I am old so I might just fall asleep mate.
