Places to throw a bday party in sanjose, ca?

19th birthday party, would like to have a house party, but cant.
any places like a hotel, restaurant, club, bar? where there is dancing and room for a lottttt of people?

There are a lot of places - it all depends on the mood you want to set.

Dave & Buster's, to me, can be a bit noisy and if you check yelp.com you'll see a lot of complaints about their service.

If you want to go downtown, there are some great restaurants to meet up for a meal, as well as bars or clubs to hang out at.

Fahrenheit Lounge is very chill, good food on the corner of 3rd and San Fernando.

Agenda Lounge, which I believe is on South First, is also another cute place.

We had our company Christmas party at Caper's Loft (next to the San Jose Improv on 2nd) and not only was the food amazing, but the atmosphere is great.

You can always rent a room at Hotel Valencia in Santana Row. If you get a balcony, its breathtaking.

If you like Thai food, House of Siam on South 2nd is another great place to bring a large group of people. The food and ambience is uplifting.

Or a bar? Some great local picks are Brittania Arms, Dive Bar, or Mission Ale House. Tied House has fantastic appetizers and oftentimes have fruit beer on the menu.

So yes, it all depends on what you'd like, but those are some fantastic choices.

Go to SF. SJ has almost nothing there.

Dave & Busters is a blast. I know that they have rooms for large groups. Not sure about dancing. The food is good, and the arcade is well maintained.
